Eric Drew, whose topic is Ghost Buildings of Healdsburg. He provides a fascinating slide show depicting many old buildings and the history surrounding them. Some highlights are: the Plaza Hotel, Healdsburg College, Union Hotel, Sotoyome Hotel, Catholic Church, the Ice House, Galleazzi Paint Shop, Plaza Theater, and Fitch Mountain Tavern. In 1865, visitors from San Francisco came to Healdsburg via the Petaluma Steamship and stage coach. The freeway opened in 1960 and changed everything, causing many downtown buildings to be torn down.
